Bring water and beer to a boil in a very large stockpot. Add fresh ground black pepper and Old Bay seasoning. Add corn, celery, onions and potatoes and cook until potatoes are almost done, about 10 to 15 minutes. Add sausage and shrimp and cook 10 minutes longer. Serve stew in bowls with cooking broth spooned over stew. Makes 6 servings.
