Spiced Nuts and Sauces for Crepes

Spiced nuts:

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup whole blanched almonds (any type of nut can be used)
  • 2 T honey

Dessert Rum sauce:

  • 1/4 butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 T water
  • 1 T rum

Savory Mustard sauce:

  • 1 T whole grain mustard
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 T vermouth
  • pan drippings
