The Carriage House is a bright and relaxing suite that one can enjoy some private time looking out on the inn’s gardens, watching a Flat Screen TV – DVD movie, listening to a Bose radio or relaxing in a hot tub.
The inspiration for the decor came from John’s great Aunt Anna Phennecie’s wonderful hand-made quilt. Aunt Anna was a Pennsylvanian school teacher, who loved the fresh colors of green and yellow. She inspired life with her students and a new life within the carriage house’s cottage motif.
Baseball memorabilia of the Yankees and wildlife art of Carl Brenders (Belgium) accents the walls of the living area. Carl and his wife, Paula were some of the first guests to stay in the carriage house while on his American tour this fall.
A stately four-poster king-size rice bed topped with accent pillows of green gingham and white batten lace add to the invitation of relaxation and cottage comfort. The bedroom and living area’s ceiling fans add to the cozy atmosphere of the carriage house’s views. The living room’s queen size sofa bed can be used for extra sleeping quarters for a small additional charge.
